Final Fantasy 7 Remake a timed exclusive after all
After the back-and-forth regarding whether or not the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a platform exclusive, the final box art has answered the question.
After the back-and-forth regarding whether or not the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a platform exclusive, the final box art design shows that it will be a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4 until 3 March 2021.
While the box art was revealed some time ago, it was never shown with the exclusivity sticker.
Along with the box art, Square Enix released a statement, in which it said: "As previously announced, Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be released for the PlayStation 4 on March 3rd 2020. We have no plans for other platforms."
Speculation that the Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch on other platforms started when Xbox Germany posted a video about the game launching for Xbox One next year.
Note that the March 2020 release date for the PS4 is not the complete game. It is only what is considered the first episode of the game, and will primarily focus on Midgar.
