First Multiplayer Trailer for Fallout 76
Bethesda has released the first trailer showcasing the multiplayer in the upcoming Fallout 76.
The game will still be playable solo, but it will also support co-op for up to four players. It's safe to assume the game is designed with co-op in mind and will be much more challenging when playing solo, especially when you come across a group of hostile players or some of the larger enemies seen in the trailer.
The footage does look good and as a fan of Fallout it does get me hyped for the game, but then I remember that "always online" requirement and the hype diminishes again. I don't want to knock it if I haven't tried it, but one of the best things about the (modern) Fallout games has always been the ability to install countless custom mods and the chances of this being possible in an online game are slim to none.
According to Bethesda, Fallout 76 will be the largest Fallout game to date, coming in at four times the size of Fallout 4 and in a previous video Bethesda mentions that it "features all new rendering, lighting and landscape technology." Fallout 76 will be available this November on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
