I don't know if you heard, but last week Sony released pricing and launch date for the PlayStation 5. It's been dominating the gaming news headlines for the past few days, so it's understandable if some other news stories may have passed you by. New Cyberpunk 2077 details dropped by the developer last week

Last week another Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire show happened, and with it more information about Cyberpunk 2077 was revealed. Two spoiler-less points of news were the PC hardware requirements for the game, as well as a comment on the length of the story campaign.

The story campaign will be shorter than the previous game from CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3, with the developers commenting that most people never finish the main campaign. Cyberpunk's shorter campaign will give more people the opportunity to finish the game properly.

More games coming to the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo also had a mini Nintendo Direct showing more games coming to the console, including Monster Hunter Rise. This is a new entry into the Monster Hunter series and first Monster Hunter main game to be released on the Switch. Release date is current set for 23 March 2021.

Other games coming to the Switch includes Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, The Long Dark, Hades, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, Balan Woderworld, Sniper Elite 4 and Empire of Sin. Click the links to trailers of each game.

Fall Guys developers secretly launched a mode called "Cheaters Island"

The massive hit indie game Fall Guys have attracted the attention of thousands of players around the word. And with it, many people trying to cheat themselves to a win. The developer tweeted last week that they added a feature where players caught cheating were all added to the same island via matchmaking, giving them their own place to cheat against each other.

Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil creator retires from the gaming industry

Michel Ancel, the creative brain behind the Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil franchises announced on social media he is retiring from the gaming industry to focus on other projects. Both he and Ubisoft did confirm that the upcoming Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in active development, but what this will mean for the game's future is still a mystery.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 becomes the fastest game to sell 1 million copies in the franchise

Activision boasted on Twitter that the newly released remaster became the fastest game in the franchise to sell 1 million copies. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a high definition remake of one of the highest rated games of all time, and the sell-through numbers is great to see. When a beloved game is remade properly, people will buy it.
