Most Epic Challenge — Let's finish Transistor together
Every two months, the Most Epic Win community decides on a game to play and discuss together. It's like a book club, but for games.
Every two months, the Most Epic Win community decides on a game to play and discuss together. It's like a book club, but for games, and is orchestrated by one of our moderators, Solitude.
Nominations for GameClub may be single player or multiplayer titles, and there are no agreed-upon times to play. You game at your own pace.
For the May-June game, the community played Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It's a longer game, and it turned out to be a busy time of the year for everyone, so of the 14 members who officially participated in the challenge, only 5 finished.
Congratulations to our champions!
As a reward for everyone who completes a game within the challenge deadline, forum badges will be awarded.
Transistor
The game of the hour for our July-August challenge, as voted by the community, is Transistor by Supergiant Games.
It is 75% off during Steam's summer sale (which ends on 6 July), allowing those who want to join the challenge and don't have a copy, to pick it up for cheap.
Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG with the same excellent narrative, visual, and sound design that Supergiant became known for through its first game, Bastion.
The name "transistor" comes from the electronic component used to amplify and switch signals in a circuit. The transistor, combined with the invention of the integrated circuit, were the key breakthroughs that led to the personal computing revolution.
Transistor features technological and programming themes throughout, including a tactical planning mode for combat called Turn().
