Twitch giving away 21 free games in July for Amazon Prime Day
Amazon is giving away 21 games through video streaming service Twitch as part of its Prime Day celebrations. The promotion launched on 2 July and will run until 18 July, but many games are only available for a few days during that period. Today is the last chance to secure a free copy of Pillars of Eternity.
The promotion is limited to Twitch Prime subscribers, but it is possible to get free access to Twitch Prime with a free trial of Amazon Prime Video.
(Amazon acquired Twitch in 2014 for $970 million.)
In countries where Amazon offers its full Prime service like the United States, Mexico, and many European nations, it has a 30-day trial which includes access to Twitch Prime.
Elsewhere in the world where Amazon offers Prime Video but not its full Prime package, like South Africa, the free trial is only 7 days.
However, we only pay $2.99 per month for the service for the first six months, and then $5.99 thereafter.
Prime Video subscriptions include access to Amazon's video-on-demand streaming service, and a full Twitch Prime membership. This removes ads from Twitch streams, and gives you one Twitch subscription per month that you may use to support any channel.
If you have Twitch Prime, you may claim the following games, for free, during Amazon's Prime Day celebrations:
- Pillars of Eternity Definitive Edition (2–4 July)
- Metal Slug 3 (3 July – 2 August)
