How can a Free Game look this good ?

Asphalt 9 : Legends has just been released on mobile and the windows store and it looks amazing. Asphalt has been gamelofts arcade racing series since 2004, having played the Nokia s40 and android versions and it even made an appearance on the PSP back in the day, Since Asphalt 7 however the tile has switched from premium mobile to free to play.

The graphics of Asphalt 9 is a massive leap from the previous Asphalt 8 Impact which is still very much a pretty impressive looking title today.

The game like all previous Asphalt titles is heavy steered towards the arcade genre so serious sims like Gran Turismo and Forza need not to worry, yet. the game features 50 cars with more to come via DLC as in Asphalt 8 and also 70 tracks based or should i say inspired by real world locations.

The game is stunningly good looking and graphically you can say even surpasses the previous PS3/Xbox 360 generation of consoles in terms of fidelity. The polycount on the cars and tracks are extremely high and with the sheer amount of polish on the game it can easily pass as a premium arcade racer on console or pc and is one of those titles that would be right at home on the Nintendo Switch.

It is a free to play title however and with Free to play you get the dreaded microtransactions and the occasional advert here and there (development of the game has to be paid for somehow) but a premium full price version would definately not feel out of place.

The game is available on IOS, Android and even the Windows store. with the correct mobile phone or pc hardware the game should hit a smooth 60fps.

Finally is it just me or does the Asphalt nine logo look alot like the PS4 Driveclub logo ?
