A person dubbed the ‘TV Santa Claus’ has been leaving old television sets on porches of Virginia homes.

With a giant television literally stuck on their head so they could bring joy to the world in the form of unwanted TV sets. The strange discovery happened Sunday morning in Henrico's Hampshire neighborhood. Outdated boxes were found at more than 50 homes.

How did they get there? The people wearing the shell of old TV's on their heads are seen on security videos carrying the sets and gently placing them on the porches.

It’s the second time it’s happened already. It occurred last summer in the Grey Oaks neighborhood.

"We got an old tube-style TV, 13 inch", said Brooksbank. "I thought my son brought it home, but apparently not. They had way too much time on their hands if they had all these TV's and spread them all over the neighborhood" said homeowner, Michael Kroll.

Security camera video from multiple neighbors was recovered with most thinking it's only a prank targeting no one in particular.

TV Guy

Officers and county workers spent Sunday morning picking up the old units and hauling them away.

"It's summer, and people are getting ready to go back to school.  Maybe TV man was just ready to strike and put a little humor in our lives" added Brooksbank.
