Red Dead Redemption Gets the Xbox one X Enhanced treatment

With Red Dead 2 releasing at the End of the Year Microsoft has decided to give its Predecessor the Xbox one X enhanced treatment. Red Dead Redemption became backward compatible in 2016 but that was a whole year before the One X was launched and it ran on the xbox one and One S models at the native 720p xbox 360 resolution but with a much more stable framerate.

During this week, it received an Xbox One X update that dramatically improves the game’s resolution making it now the best way to play it since it never received a next gen upgraded remaster like GTA 5 did.

The boost gives the game 9X the original pixel count when played on Xbox One X. The power of Xbox One X enables the Xbox 360 emulator to showcase the very best version of the game possible with the existing assets – all without touching the game code.

The Xbox One X update for Red Dead Redemption is 582.73MB. If you’re on the original Xbox One, you may also receive the update, but the enhancements are for Xbox One X only. The game runs at Native 4k and is not upscaled.

Along with Red Dead Redemption A few other titles below also became Xbox one X enhanced this week.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Sonic Generations
Portal
Darksiders
Gears of War 2

And through the power of Backward Compatibility, you can choose whether you want to experience these games with enhanced graphics or in their original form.
